We can remove your ineffective, often old, brittle & grubby polycarbonate or glass conservatory roof & replace with one giving all of the advantages of a “traditional” one.
Conservatives often become impractical to use as a habitable room due to our variations in climate here in the UK.
- The existing structure is carefully removed & your conservatory floor & surfaces are protected.
- A robust timber framework is then crafted to replicate the profile of your old roof. (It’s sometimes possible to alter the roof shape as an additional feature)
- The framework is then fitted with high performance insulation sheeting providing warmth in the winter along with helping to keep the conservatory cooler in the summer
- Structural plywood is then fitted to the framework.
- Lightweight slate is then installed. The slates give a “rustic” natural slate appearance, come in a range of colours, are made in the UK from 90% reclycled materials.
- An insulated plaster board is cut & fitted to the internal framework & a plaster finish applied.
Quite often the existing lead flashings & guttering systems are retained providing improved cost effectiveness.
We can install opening roof lights to add additional natural light & ventilation.
We can also reconfigure your lights to provide features using spot lights & LED’s if required.
In summary, you will be left with a space that you can enjoy all year round for probably less cost than you’d imagined.
